A Walk in Wonderland

Lights adorn the evergreens

where birds are nestled snug;

Snowmen with such happy smiles

that warm just like a hug.

There are wreaths in windows, bows on doors,

bells and mistletoe;

Red pointsetta, cheery and bright,

are seen beyond the snow.

Santa and his reindeer

can see the candles bright;

Follow the lanterns and coloured stars

that are shining in the night.

Midst candy canes, choral groups,

and skaters hand-in-hand,

To walk around before Christmas eve

is to step into fairyland.
