Giving At Christmas
Sharing our time at Christmas says,
in the truest way - we care.
A cheery visit makes Christmas joy -
for one - a family - or a pair.
Eyes light up and smiles are wide
to see just a little gift;
It needn't be much - just a little treat
to give someone a lift.
A tiny tree for someone's home
-
maybe some popcorn to string,
A doll or animal, made from a sock,
will make a child sing.
Christmas Joy is for everyone -
may it last the whole year through;
And if we are a part of the giving,
we'll feel blessed - both me and you.
